‘The Flash’ season 2 video: New teaser hints at villains, more to come

Sure, “The Flash” has not shot a single frame of footage for the second season yet, and nor have they announced any new castings. That isn’t stopping the show from at least showing off the first promo now!

In the video below, you can see executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg (who we are personally starting to raise to “Genius” status) speak out a little bit about some of their early plans for season 2, which include some of the most ambitious special effects that we have seen to date. Not only that, but the ending of season 1 leaves open a variety of different possibilities for them as to how to introduce new villains. We love that the show is not shying away from the time-travel component of the show; while it can be complicated, we applaud them for being bold enough to really tackle it and respecting the intelligence of some of their viewers.

We have to imagine that more of Killer Frost is coming in some form given that we saw her in the promo; not only that, but we also have heard the Mirror Master mentioned as a possible villain, and we already have potentially something more from Gorilla Grodd on the horizon.

Also, one nerdy thing that we find interesting about this video: Most of the other “pull forward” teasers that we’ve seen from The CW have shown the executive producer in the same place they’ve done some of their other video interviews for the YouTube channel. Kreisberg had done all previous ones solo, and in a different location.
