‘Heroes: Reborn’ spoilers: Greg Grunberg returns for an arc

Heroes -You may have heard already about the return of both Jack Coleman (Noah) and Masi Oka (Hiro) to NBC’s upcoming “Heroes: Reborn,” but the following news may be even more music to your ears. Greg Grunberg is set to return for more as Matt Parkman!

Per Entertainment Weekly, the former series star is poised for at least a guest arc on the revival, which is now scheduled for the fall on Thursday nights. Parkman was a detective who had the ability to read minds, which as you would expect is a very powerful ability to have within this world. He is a fun character to have on board, especially for those of you looking for a little bit of extra nostalgia. After all, we do anticipate that there will be quite a few longtime regulars who end up being no-shows for the new edition of the series. Both Milo Ventimiglia and Zachary Quinto have confirmed that they will not be returning for the series, and given that Hayden Panettiere recently had a baby and also has a regular gig on “Nashville,” she is probably also not going to be stopping by.

For the most part, though, NBC and executive producer Tim Kring are keeping things very quiet when it comes to what could be happening on the series. The biggest thing that is known as is that Zachary Levi (“Chuck”) will most likely be the new lead, and that the show looks to be some sort of continuation on the original.

If nothing else, the network has done a good job getting us excited, even though we at one point thought this franchise fell creatively off a cliff.
