‘Supernatural’ season 10 finale reaction: Dean vs. death and the darkness

Supernatural -The season 10 finale of “Supernatural” can really be summed up in just one word, and we would consider it to be very much this: “Bananas.” What a crazy, intense, but excellent hour of TV this was! Almost across the board this was one of the most shocking episodes that the series has put out there.

Let’s start with the biggest cliffhanger: Darkness coming to potentially take in both Sam and Dean, after Dean opted to kill Death himself rather than sacrifice his brother. It was not made entirely clear what this Darkness could mean for the Winchesters, but we are assuming that it is certainly not good. As for why this is happening, the reasoning is simple: Rowena managed to break the Mark of Cain, which unleashed all of this into the world. In the process, she also earned more of her freedom and seems to be using Castiel as a means to destroy Crowley.

In the end, the CW show set up quite a few different story threads for them to explore once we do get around to season 11 in the fall, and one of the benefits for them ending the show this way is flexibility. They now have a chance to set up almost any conclusion to the show that they want, and this is exciting.
