‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7: Premiere date speculation and much more

NCIS Los AngelesTonight, we have a chance to watch “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 6 come to a close, and do so with an episode that teased up some backstory for the Callen character while also explaining his future.

Now, we are left with another question: Where should the series go from here? It has already been on the air for six seasons, and this really to us means that it is getting a little bit longer in the tooth. It is still young for a CBS procedural, but its ratings did fall lower than they have at any point during its run this year. Our philosophy for many shows is that they should act as though almost every season is their last, and we feel really good with “NCIS: Los Angeles” because it really felt like they did that. After much waiting, they finally brought Kensi and Deeks together this season!

With that, they can make the most romantic couple on the show take the next step going through the seventh season, and in addition to that, there are also going to be some more opportunities to tell some Callen and Sam backstory, and expose the entire team to new threats.

What we really feel like this show needs is something simple: A really iconic Big Bad who can surface for a few times, and be dangerous and unpredictable in a way that we have not seen here. Think along the lines of the Gig Harbor Killer from “CSI” or an equivalent to that.
