NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: Bedelia takes center stage for latest promo

Let’s face it: The wait for the “Hannibal” premiere on Thursday, June 4 is a rather long one. At the time of its premiere, it will be a solid year since the show wrapped up season 2, and with the cliffhanger being as dramatic as it is, that only makes the waiting worse.

Is there anything that we can give you right now to ease the pain? Hopefully the new promo below is right up your alley, since it has a bevy of new footage in here that you may not have seen already. Also, the main focus on a lot of this is Bedelia (Gillian Anderson), otherwise known as Mrs. Hannibal in the promo. She is a regular this season, and will have especially a huge role in the first few episodes as she and Mads Mikkelsen’s character are on the run (sort of) after what happened in the finale. They will be in Europe, but given the flair for the theatrical that we have seen from Hannibal over the years, we figure he will have a hard time keeping himself out of sight and out of mind.

From a marketing standpoint, it makes sense for NBC to promote Anderson to the best of their ability. Just remember here that she is a woman who is getting a ton of press at the moment thanks to the big revival of “The X-Files,” and also has some other major TV plans coming up with the return of “The Fall.”

Will she bring even more viewers to this season? We certainly hope so; then again, we hope for almost anything to make this great show more of a success.
