‘The Flash’ season 1, episode 21 preview: The Thawne family tree

What does Eddie Thawne become on “The Flash“? The moment we first heard the name, we knew that we had a reason to worry. Just think of all the Reverse Flash / Professor Zoom history here!

However, it is now very well possible that Eddie may just be the one Thawne without a history of being something extraordinary next to his name. This is at least what Eobard tells us in the sneak peek below (via ComicBook.com) from Tuesday night’s new episode “Grodd Lives.” We saw the man otherwise known as Harrison Wells kidnap Eddie at the end of this past episode, and really does not seem to have a whole lot more of a goal here other than hitting him over the head with reminders of how incompetent he is. We almost feel sorry for Eddie here; then again, he hasn’t been a terrible guy most of the season. The only thing that looks bad for him when it comes to Iris is that there is someone else in Barry who has more of a star-crossed love with her.

By the end of this episode, maybe we’ll learn a thing or two more when it comes to what Eobard’s intentions here truly are. For the time being, we at least know that the man is up to no good with Eddie, and corrupting him seems like it could be a possibility. Ultimately, he could present something to him a la “don’t you want to feel special?” or something else of that variety.

Also, this episode of course has Grodd. Be prepared for plenty of that.
