‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 actor Seth Gilliam reportedly arrested

Walking Dead -There’s some sad news coming out today when it comes to “The Walking Dead,” though on this occasion it is a little more of a human story than anything related to the story itself.

According to a report coming in now from TMZ, Seth Gilliam, who plays Father Gabriel on the AMC series, was reportedly arrested on charges of DUI, possession of marijuana, and excess speeding. He was arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia, booked, and then later released on bail. Gilliam has yet to speak out on the arrest since it was first reported.

We are not a tabloid, so we are not going to spend a whole lot of time going into exhausting detail about his arrest other than saying that he hopefully learns from this and corrects some of his mistakes. What we will have to watch here is if this arrest and the ramifications of it have any bearing on his time on the show. Our guess is that they will not, other than scheduling around any court dates. Sad as it may be, there is already a precedent for “Walking Dead” actors being arrested for drinking and driving. Three years ago, a similar thing happened to Scott Wilson (Hershel), ironically in the same place in Peachtree City.

Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” will be spending most of the year filming in Georgia. There is no concrete premiere date yet, but we imagine that it will be coming on the air at some point in October. This follows the same pattern as every other season. We will have some other news on the show soon.
