‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 finale spoilers: Details on ‘The Hunt,’ big Jennifer Love Hewitt story

Criminal Minds -Criminal Minds” has many surprises coming up, but to us, one of the biggest surprises is simply that the series is wrapping up season 10 a little earlier than we expected that they would. We had always thought that it would be about 24 episodes, but this is the first time since season 5 that the show is going below that mark. Maybe they needed extra time to make the “Beyond Borders” pilot or something else that changed up production.

Nonetheless, the 23rd episode of the season airing a week from tomorrow, entitled “The Hunt,” is going to mark the end of the season. As you may have heard already, this story will put Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character of Kate Callahan in the spotlight, and you can look below for some other details on what to expect:

“When Kate’s niece Meg and her best friend are kidnapped, the BAU suspects an online predator engaged in sex trafficking, on the 10th season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, May 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Greg Grunberg (“Alias,” “Heroes”) returns as Kate’s husband, Chris Callahan.”

By the time that we make it to the end of the finale, we hopefully are going to have some sort of compelling cliffhanger that brings us forward into an eleventh season. While it has not technically been renewed yet by CBS, we are going to assume that this is happening. Maybe it could have a shorter season, as well, given that both Hewitt and her co-star AJ Cook are each expecting.
