‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 22 preview: A difficult journey for Kensi ahead

Big news -Even though we have seen Kensi take on a variety of difficult missions on “NCIS: Los Angeles” over the years, there is still something about the one on Monday night’s episode that will feel different. Part of it will be that it touches so much on her history as a sniper, while another part of it will be the sole fact that she is forced into taking down someone who is regarded for the most part as an American hero.

Her target, as made apparent in the promo below, is a decorated war veteran who has not received the proper care since returning home, and has become extremely dangerous as a result. This is a story that could shine a light on some of the issues related to PTSD, but within the context of the story itself, Kensi has to figure out if she is going to be able to pull the trigger.

The timing for a story specific to Kensi is important, as well, given that it comes at the end of an important season for her (one that includes her and Deeks finally taking the jump and becoming a couple), and before we embark on a two-episode journey in the finale that will take at least some of the team to Russia, where they will take on some other great challenges.

While there are going to be several different issues that Monday night’s episode needs to juggle, we feel confident that it will be able to take them on with the utmost of both dignity and respect.
