‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: On big decisions coming in finale

While “The Big Bang Theory” for the most part is a show all about science, it is just as much a show about relationships. After all, the pilot revolved around Leonard’s crush on new neighbor Penny, and how badly he wanted to get her attention. He eventually did, and he’s now at a part of his life where he is able to actually be prepared to make her his wife and live happily ever after.

However, there has been somewhat of a holding pattern recently when it comes to their relationship. While there is seemingly no danger of them splitting (they’ve already done that enough at this point), they do appear so focused on work and other things that they haven’t really thought much about a wedding. This could change in the finale, and an unlikely person in Sheldon could be the catalyst.

“Sheldon has progress and relationships on his mind and wants to know just in fact why Leonard and Penny going so slow … If they’re an example of who’s progressing, why don’t they have a wedding date?”

Want to know our guess for when the date could be? We’d say maybe May of 2016, which would be the end of the ninth season. After this, there will be at least one more season of the show, and our feeling is that this should be the one to tie everything together. Sure, this show makes so much money that it could last beyond that, but we don’t want to get to the point where it starts to overstay its welcome.
