ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 20 preview: Nathan Fillion and … Chuck Norris?

More of the latest -While there are many things that we have hoped to see on “Castle” over the years, we do have to say that the presence of Chuck Norris tops the list of potential surprises. How in the world did this happen? Is ABC looking to revive “Walker, Texas Ranger”? Not exactly. Instead, this just to be a part of some sort of elaborate dream therapy that Nathan Fillion’s Rick is under to try to remember just what happened to him during that lengthy disappearance.

One of the cooler things about this sneak peek first and foremost is the chance to see more of the therapist character, who we have not seen on the show in quite some time. Given that he proved himself to be rather invaluable to Beckett over the course of her career, it would make sense for him to prove useful to Rick, as well, during his time of the need. The unfortunate thing here is that there is not necessarily anything that this therapist can do to force Rick to remember everything that transpired. So much of it he will have to pry out of his brain himself, however difficult that may be for him to do.

Do we expect answers this season? For now, we’ll answer that tentatively with a yes for one reason: The high level of doubt that surrounds the end of the season. When you do not quite know if you are returning, or at least with the same cast, you want to present at least a reasonably satisfying end. Learning a thing or two about this disappearance is a component of that.

After the events of “Sleeper,” though, be prepared to wait until the finale for the remainder of the answers. You can at least head over here to read up on some details about it.
