‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: Could Joey Cook, Jax, Nick Fradiani take on arena songs?

American Idol -While it is not entirely clear just yet who will be a part of the “American Idol XIV” top 6, we can already go ahead and tell you this right away: What sort of music they will get a chance to perform. Per a new report coming in right now from TVLine, the remaining contestants will all perform Arena Anthems. Note that this is a pretty wide-open theme, and all it really means is that these are songs that are worthy of being performed to huge arenas. Basically, we don’t imagine any indie artists creeping into the song list for this installment.

Given the fact that there are only six contestants remaining, we also more than imagine that they will all get a chance to perform twice. This is something that will probably continue for a couple of weeks, and then maybe during the top 4 they will all get three performances each in an effort to really earn some more time in the spotlight.

For the time being, we’d say that the people who are probably favored the most in this category are those with the huge voices and can also move about the stage, such as Tyanna Jones or a guy with rocker tendencies like Nick Fradiani. Granted, it is all going to be about song choice here. If you pick something that really does not work for the theme, you could see yourself in danger come the top 5 results.

If nothing else, we are at least happy that there are not many themes this season, save for Kelly Clarkson Week and Motown Week, that have limited the singers to specific genres.

If you missed it, we posted and discussed early today the song choices for this upcoming “American Idol” episode. Check them out! Also, click here to get some further news worth singing over right away, courtesy of our official CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
