‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 3 review: Lori just keeps calling

Finding Carter -Tonight’s new episode of “Finding Carter” managed to yet again find a way to drop a few bombs, even when you would start to think that there would not be that much left to even shock you with even more.

The biggest one happened at what was meant to be an anniversary party for Carter’s grandparents, which turned into something much crazier when Taylor spilled the beans to them about Lori being their real biological mother. This came after she had already snatched a ton of booze, got drunk, and more or less told Max that she loved him almost too much that it would be hard to get back together with him. That largely had to deal with Max getting closer again to Crash, who she knew was bad news and certainly did not want to forgive him for what happened.

To make matters all the crazier, Carter has been repeatedly contacted by Lori while she has been in jail, but she has done her best to avoid the messages sent her way. Why would she want to answer? The only real answer there is that sooner or later, she could start to become a little curious, which is precisely what happened at the tail end of the episode.

Carter is ultimately more than a little conflicted about all of this. A part of her clearly does not hate Lori completely, since why pick up the phone in the first place? The logical move here would be to just get a new phone number, but Carter has not made that move yet. This episode was not as intense or as crazy as the first two, but it still had some moments. Grade: B-.
