‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: Current ‘Scandal’ guest star to romance April

When it comes to romancing series regulars on ABC shows, Brian White is currently all over the place! You may know him at the moment for his part as Olivia Pope’s love interest Russell on “Scandal,” and he is getting set now to move over to “Mistresses.” The summer show is currently filming in Vancouver (the change in location from Los Angeles is what caused Alyssa Milano to leave), and White will be playing a man who gets rather close to the character of April.

Who is he specifically? According to TVLine, White’s character Blair is the headmaster at the school attended by April’s daughter Lucy, and he brings quite a few attributes to the table. He is attractive, but also intelligent and an authoritative figure. Given the myriad of things that April went through at the end of this past season, he could actually end up being the perfect guy for her.

In terms of what April is attracted to here, the site attributes it to “how well-liked and well-connected he is as headmaster. Most of all she feels safe and protected when she’s around him. His mere presence commands respect, making him the ideal partner at a time when her daughter needs some serious structure in her life.”

Intrigued? We definitely are, though we are both excited and worried at the same time. We’ve been around the block with this show enough to know how the majority of the relationships end up … and they are for the most part not pretty.
