‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 19 preview: What lies ahead in ‘The Three Gs’

Chicago PD -Where is the story going to take you on “Chicago PD” next week? After tonight’s story focused on family, whether it be tributes to Voight’s past or a new potential addition to Chicago Med coming courtesy of Halstead’s brother Will. This was a pretty powerful moment between brothers, but in the end we imagine this being mostly important as a set up for the upcoming “Chicago Med” backdoor pilot, which is going to air during “Chicago Fire” next week.

While we could spend more time here talking about doctors and firefighters, we assume that you’re here mostly to read about what Roman, Voight, and the rest of Intelligence are going to be up to in “The Three Gs,” which is airing next week. The thing that you should know about this episode before reading the synopsis below is that a number dead girls are found in a Chinatown alley, which leads to a manhunt for one of the most-wanted criminals in the entire city:

“When the father of one of the dead girls explains that he paid Dennis Lee (guest star Kelvin Han Yee) to have her brought to America, this hits home with Olinsky (Elias Koteas). Lee is one of the Chicago’s most wanted fugitives and escaped Olinsky once before. Intelligence isn’t about to let Lee dupe them again and Olinsky’s past files prove valuable in finding Lee’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) has an altercation with a fellow officer which lands him in a bit of trouble. At the same time Platt (Amy Morton) helps prepare Nadia (guest star Stella Maeve) to take her polygraph test after passing the CPD written exam.”

For the most part, the direction of the season is moving how we want for it to, at least in that Lindsay is firmly stationed back with Intelligence and the unit has forged its way through some difficult problems. What we need now is a serious, competent threat, and this may be your opportunity to see that threat in action.
