‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 19 preview: The one that got away from McGee
“NCIS” is airing a new episode on Tuesday night entitled “Patience,” and this one could be more or less entitled “how McGee gets screwed over perpetually while working on the case.” What’s the deal here? The main case at the center of this episode is one that Gibbs and Tony have worked on for many years, but one that Sean Murray’s character is completely in the dark about. Sure, we imagine that there are many serious elements to this case that will be figured out in due time, but at least for the moment, the sneak peeks below scream “fun.”
1. The crime scene – We begin here with Gibbs and McGee arriving on a crime scene, and the latter getting completely swept under the rug with Tony’s arrival. We do wonder why they are so hesitant to let McGee in here. It’s not exactly like he’s a newcomer to the NCIS team or anything, or like he lacks the skill needed to get things done.

2. Things get weirder – From here, McGee learns that he is not even allowed in the same room as Gibbs while tackling the case, and the same most-likely goes for Bishop! Why the secrecy? We really wish that it was because Gibbs has some sort of secret card game and that he is using a case as a front for some hijinks. Sadly, Gibbs is not known for hijinks, so we know that we are just living in our own Gibbs related universe in our minds. There’s probably a sensible, serious reason for all of this that will become apparent at the end of the episode (if not before).

I am not one of those waiting for Ziva to return, but Tony’s new girlfriend looks too old for him…no spark!

Well keeping McGee in the dark can make another episode all about poor noble McGee. When it’s not about Gibbs it’s about McGee. No doubt McGee will provide the most important piece of evidence to solve the case. If there is any action, McGee and Gibbs will likely be cast. They won’t make McGee look bad. That’s what they do to Tony.

McGee has kept Tony in the dark more than once. he has NO right to be pissed. that said, what the hell? where did this come from? Oh I know. This season has been all about Gary inventing stories in the past that longtime fans had no CLUE about, and we are expected to love them all.
