‘Madam Secretary’ episode 19 preview: Details on Tea Leoni, cast in ‘Spartan Figures’

Next week, the home stretch of “Madam Secretary” to us officially begins. We like to consider the final four episodes generally one consistent arc, but there is no guarantee that this will necessarily happen with this show. For now, all we can do is just give you some preliminary details on an installment entitled “Spartan Figures.”

The attached photo shows Tea Leoni’s Elizabeth at a meeting, where she is doing everything that she can in order to ensure that she can work to solve the debt situation in Greece. This is a real-life situation, and there’s a part of us that wonders already if there are any ideas from the show that could actually be used in real life. It is probably too early to tell here.

For now, all we can really do is give you the short, but official synopsis that was released recently by CBS:

“Elizabeth and President Dalton work together to solve the Greek debt crisis, but not everyone at home is happy with the agreement. Meanwhile, Henry mulls over a new job offer, and Stevie reconnects with her childhood friend, the President’s son.”

Hey, at least Henry and Stevie are getting a tremendous variety of stories at the moment! Tonight, the focus for Stevie was mostly on her relationship with a new man, and next week, we go in a completely different direction.

As for Henry, what excites us here is that his story is the sort that could carry over and be essential at some point point in the final episodes. This does not strike us as a one-episode gig.
