‘The Voice UK’ results: Are Lucy O’Byrne, Emmanuel Nwamadi, Stevie McCorie in finale?

Voice -Today, “The Voice UK” officially revealed the four artists who will be performing in the big final on the BBC next week … and let us start out here by saying that this was not a home run for Rita Ora by any means.

Somehow, despite having the great Karis Thomas and Joe Woolford on her team, she is mostly a spectator next week as the other three coaches have acts to mentor. Lucy O’Burne is the sole survivor for Team Will, while Tom Jones still has Sasha Simone and Ricky Wilson has both Stevie McCrorie and Emmanuel Nwamadi in the final. Despite that ridiculously hokey performance of “Stay with Me” with his coach and Emmanuel, we still feel like this is Stevie’s show to win. Sasha likely had a bit of help from being the only act for Tom Jones fans to support (plus she had a great night), while Lucy has that curiosity factor being the one singer who is not like the others.

Were these results that surprising? Yes and no. We had Karis in the final, but we didn’t necessarily pick her to win the whole thing. Nothing else shocks us that much, but we would actually appreciate a frontrunner winning this time after being surprised the past two seasons.

Now, for a few other observations.

1. For a man obsessed with the future, we’re still trying to comprehend Will in an Afro performing a hit from KC and the Sunshine Band.

2. The latest obstacle to obscure Sia’s face during her performance was an insane wig. We often wonder whether not being able to see is going to make her fall over.

3. Can we have some music next week that is mostly from the past few years? We were limited to a few selections tonight.

4. Also, can we have a shorter show?
