‘The Fosters’ season 3 spoilers: Jake T. Austin leaving series

The Fosters -Well, it may not have taken very long at all for the cliffhanger at the end of “The Fosters” season 2 to be resolved. In a series of posts on Twitter, series regular Jake T. Austin confirmed that he is leaving the show. Does this mean that Jesus is being killed off in that car accident? It sure looks like it. Austin does not entirely make it clear why he is departing the show, or if this was something that he decided, or the producers decided at the end of the day.

So what does this mean for the show moving forward? It’s hard to really say, but Austin has a big fan base thanks to “Wizards of Waverly Place” and he will be missed. At least this seems to be something that was planned out in advance by the producers, even if we do find ourselves wondering to a certain extent whether or not the show really wanted this news to get out so quickly.

The third season of “The Fosters” is going to premiere on ABC Family this summer, and we imagine that they will pick up and tell a variety of other emotional stories. Jude and Connor may be in a better place, and Callie has made a decision when it comes to her own future. Once the cliffhanger is resolved when it comes to the story, we feel like producers will go from there and find a way to create something that is everything fans expect and then some.
