‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Is Emma learning Snow, Charming’s secret?

Tonight’s “Once Upon a Time” episode was a crazy thrill ride, and in a way a history lesson at the same time. We got a sense as to what happened between Ursula and Hook, and it set the stage for the characters’ future in a unique way.

What was particularly interesting about this story was that it turned a villain into a potential hero, but from here we could see a hero in Emma Swan become a villain after she starts to learn the truth about her mother, and what she and Charming did that caused Maleficent to lose her child. This is the devastating secret that was revealed weeks ago, and it is going to come back next week in a huge way.

Through flashbacks, you are specifically going to see what happened to cause this to happen to Maleficent, and it already looks rather devastating. This is the sort of thing that could make Snow into a very unlikable character in her own daughter’s eyes, and change everything about their relationship.

Eventually, we do presume that the book and the Author are going to once again come into play here, if for no other reason than that so many people are all looking for answers here. Based on what we saw tonight, finding this person and changing the course of history for many characters will not be easy at all. Check out the promo below.
