‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 17 preview: Megan Boone, James Spader, and what’s next

The Blacklist logo any seasonComing out of tonight’s new episode of “The Blacklist,” the great news here is that we had one of the best episodes of the entire season. “Tom Keen” was pretty tremendous from a variety of different perspectives: It was suspenseful, action-packed, and it also brought Tom in to be the person responsible for saving Liz from trouble. Granted, he seems to be off now, as well.

Next week’s installment is entitled “The Longevity Initiative,” and after watching the promo below, we have one question to ask: Is Reddington trying to become immortal or something? He seems very interested in a man who seems to be doing experiments to allow someone to live indefinitely. Can you imagine vampire Reddington? Pretty terrifying, really.

Take a look at the synopsis below to get a few other details about what Megan Boone, James Spader, and Ryan Eggold could be up to now:

“The task force tracks a scientist who abducts disabled patients to conduct experiments on immortality. Now back in Washington, DC, Tom (Ryan Eggold) scrambles to save himself from new enemies.”

Ultimately, tonight’s episode set us up well for a number of different reasons, with the biggest one being that it allowed us the chance to get to see a whole lot more of Tom, and also to put him in a position where he will not be going anywhere immediately. For too long this season, he has popped in and out of the series like nobody’s business.
