‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: What Jax, Rayvon Owen, Tyanna Jones, Daniel Seavey could perform

American Idol -Tonight, ten out of the eleven remaining contestants on “American Idol XIV” are going to hit the stage, and we now come bearing what should be good news: The full list of songs from tonight’s movie-themed episode!

The following song spoilers come to us courtesy of TVLine, and the best thing to celebrate here is that there is no mention of “I Have Nothing” or “Against All Odds” Therefore, we’re not going to complain too much about a few annoying choices in here. The majority of the contestants have chosen something that they should at least be reasonably successful at performing.

Adanna Duru, “Love You I Do” (Jennifer Hudson) – Bold move to tackle. Adanna has been inconsistent, but she does have the voice for it.

Clark Beckham, “Sunday Morning” (Marron 5) – Technically, this song was in “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.” It’s not what we would consider to be a “movie song,” but at least he has chosen something reasonably current.

Daniel Seavey, “Lost Stars” (Adam Levine) – Well, it’s a current song! Can’t fault Daniel for choosing something performed at the Oscars.

Jax, “Grow Old With You” (Adam Sandler) – Jax definitely wins the random song choice awards for choosing something from “The Wedding Singer.” This could be great, though!

Joey Cook, “Mad World” (the Michael Andrews / Gary Jules version) – We shudder anytime someone does this song just because of the inevitable Adam Lambert comparisons. Joey is still interesting and atmospheric enough to deliver a great take on this in her own way.

Maddie Walker, “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” (Deniece Williams) – Good choice. It’s country enough for her, and not the most predictable choice out there.

Nick Fradiani, “Danger Zone” (Kenny Loggins) – Another really solid song choice, but it’s hardly a risk. We really want to see Nick stretch himself more than this.

Qaasim Middleton, “Come Together” (The Beatles) – It’s been overdone, and not everyone seems to really understand what this song is about. At least Qaasim can make it fun.

Quentin Alexander, “You’re the One That I Want” (John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John) – We hate this song. We know that it’s an unpopular opinion, so Quentin probably has his work cut out for him trying to impress us.

Rayvon Owen, “Stayin’ Alive” (The Bee Gees) – He’s probably the only person who could hit the notes in here.

Tyanna Jones, “Circle of Life” (The Lion King) – This seems hokey at first, but it can really be done in a cool, powerful way. Tyanna has the potential to do something cool here.
