‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Eureka’ alum scores big arc

It could happen -The third season of “Mistresses” is set to premiere this summer on ABC, and as we get closer to the date of its return, the recurring cast is starting to come together.

Today, what we have to report here is that per Deadline, Ed Quinn of “Eureka” fame has signed on to do a ten-episode arc on the series. He is going to do play the part of Dr. Alec Adams, an internist who works at the hospital and ruffles quite a few feathers. He has some problems getting along from time to time, and he also has a tendency to anger and even offend. However, at the same time there is something so much deeper to him that some of the other characters will come to know. For example, his wife is his most important patient, and he carries with him a great deal of heart and sensitivity. Let’s of course hope that he also finds a way to get deeply immersed into some of the drama of the show at the same exact time. That’s what so many people watch this series for.

The third season of “Mistresses” already has a huge change, given that Jennifer Esposito has stepped in to replace Alyssa Milano  as a series regular. That cast change, by the way, is why we are left with using the ABC logo as a promotional image until some better ones come out a little bit later this spring. Season 3 is being filmed in Vancouver, which is one of the reasons why Milano exited to begin with.

We’ll have some further news on the show shortly; stay tuned…
