‘Dancing with the Stars’ 20 preview: How will Noah Galloway perform this season?

Noah -Noah Galloway is one of the more unknown contestants going into this season of “Dancing with the Stars,” but at the same time, he is also one of the most intriguing. He is a war hero who lost both an arm and a leg overseas, and now, he’s one of the latest inspirational stories in the ballroom. We have yet to see how he dances yet, but in the past similar contestants have been able to make it very far. For example, Amy Purdy made it all the way to the finale on her season, even if she could not ultimately pull off the victory in the end. J.R. Martinez may not have lost any limbs, but he was a virtually-unknown war veteran to many (at least outside of the soap world) who did score the Mirrorball Trophy.

Obviously, there are many questions that go into this regarding how he is going to be able to perform many of the dances, given that a good many of them require either two arms or quick feet. Galloway told “Access Hollywood” in a recent interview that he will be using a prosthetic leg at all times during the competition, and whether or not he uses a prosthetic arm is going to be based on what the dance is:

“[I will have a] backup leg and we’re also talking about [using a prosthetic] arm … There will be some dances where I wear an arm and where I won’t, but the leg is about the backup. I don’t want to be an hour before the show and it short out.”

As of right now, it is pretty darn easy to see why people are going to want to vote for the guy. We still have to see if he can dance, though, to determine if he is a favorite.

Yesterday, we posted over here our take on how some of the dancers this season are going to fare. Be sure to check that out! Also, sign up today to get some other TV scoop worth dancing over via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
