‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: More on Cody Christian’s role

There has been quite a bit of news related to “Teen Wolf” as of late, with much of it stemming from the surprising exit of Tyler Hoechlin, who played Derek Hale for many seasons on the show. It some ways, it was relatively easy to anticipate this. After all, the show has shifted more as of late to emphasize the younger members of the cast, and that left Derek somewhat on the outside.

In making so many changes, it appears that the show will try in ways to compensate by adding a few new characters to go along with it. This is where Cody Christian, otherwise known for being Mike on “Pretty Little Liars,” comes into play. How will he factor into the story? Speaking per TVLine, executive producer Jeff Davis had the following to share:

“He’s a lone wolf that comes into Beacon Hills, and he’s got sort of a cloudy, mysterious past … He’s looking for a pack, and he’s looking to be a part of Scott’s pack. Whether they accept him and whether they trust him is something that’s debated in the first few episodes.”

Are we excited to see where this character fits in? Sure, but of course we are very much worried about it in the same way that we do almost every addition to the show. It’s always hard to incorporate as many different new characters as possible, especially when you are bringing them into an established world.
