‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 15 preview: An earthquake causes trouble for Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith

The future -Over the years, “Grey’s Anatomy” has been known for disasters in one way or another … and many of them are not under the doctors’ control by any means. We saw the plane crash lead to the loss of Lexi and eventually Mark, the shooting, and the storm that nearly brought along the death of Richard Webber.

Next week, an earthquake is going to come around at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, and that is going to cause all sorts of problems. Hopefully, we’re not going to lose any more important characters, but you have to consider almost anything as a possibility when you think about this show. Shonda Rhimes has never been afraid to take bis risks, and then see what happens with them.

“I Feel the Earth Move” is appropriately the title for next week’s new episode, and you can read the full synopsis below for it:

“An earthquake shakes the ground at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, trapping Maggie in an elevator and threatening Meredith’s long streak of successful surgeries. Meanwhile, Owen gives medical advice to a child over the phone and Ben confides in Jackson.”

The promo below contains quite a bit more news about the scope of the disaster, and exactly what the stakes here. Let’s just say that there is the potential for things to go terribly wrong here in a short amount of time. Let’s just hope that these doctors have so much experience in other disasters that they will be extremely well-served here in this situation.
