‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 18 preview: Honoring Mrs. Wolowitz further

Howard -While “The Big Bang Theory” did not have a funeral scene for Mrs. Wolowitz on last week’s episode, the show is still making plans to further honor Carol Ann Susi and her character in their own way. There will be another new episode of the CBS sitcom airing next Thursday, and a part of the storyline for “The Leftover Thermalization” will be having a tribute of sorts to her at her old home. We wonder if this could be one of the last times that we see this particular set, given that Howard and Bernadette have their own place to live.

CBS released today the official synopsis for the half-hour, and it makes it clear that there will also be a story in here all about Sheldon, Leonard, and some problems with jealousy that the two of them encounter:

“Friction ensues when a magazine fails to mention Leonard in an article about the paper he co-wrote with Sheldon. Also, a blackout at Mrs. Wolowitz’s home leads to a final family dinner in her honor.”

Hopefully, this episode is going to be a nice mixture of strong, serious moments and ones that make us laugh. We’re also glad to see that the tribute for Susi is being spread out rather than wedged all into one episode. It would be a mistake to address the fact that Mrs. Wolowitz passed away, and then never reference it again. This is a little more true to life, and you don’t often say that about a sitcom.
