‘The Amazing Race 26’ episode 3 preview: Hayley and Blair’s trouble in Thailand

It really only took three episodes on “The Amazing Race 26” for one of the Blind Date couples to come close to falling apart, and that couple is known other than Hayley & Blair. On paper, they seem like the sort of team that could do extremely well at this show. They’re young, athletic, and they both are very successful in real life.

Unfortunately, Blair seems to have zero interest in listening to anything Hayley has to say, and it comes back to bite them on a task seemingly set in some sort of jungle area. The teams are meant to carry around trays with various food on it, but he didn’t pick up on the fact that you were meant to carry everything at once. This leads to tension, and also wasted time for a pair who should really be better than how they are placing.

Reading the clue is one of those obvious “Amazing Race” rules everyone should be aware of when they are out there … but strangely, this is not the only cardinal rule that is broken during this episode. We won’t spoil what it is, but the minute you see it, you are going to have flashbacks to many other past seasons where similar things have occurred.

So far through two legs, the blind date couples have actually surpassed the pairs in real-life relationships. We’re going to have to figure out now if that continues now that people are starting to spend so much time together. Typically, this is when people stop being on their best behavior.
