‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 14 spoilers: Sarah Drew on April’s emotional process

What's next? -How is April coping from the loss she experienced on this past “Grey’s Anatomy” episode? It’s not going to be an easy time for her or Jackson, and everyone always handles grief in their own ways. There is nothing worse than losing someone, especially when this someone is just entering the world.

When Thursday night’s new episode (which is set mostly on Caterina Scorsone’s character of Amelia) picks up, a little bit of time will have passed since we last saw April go through her loss. However, it’s not so much time that it will be on the back burner at all. In previewing this particular installment to TVLine, Sarah Drew does her part to explain a little bit of what is on her character’s mind as she starts to process and plan ahead her future:

“I think she has some sense of peace … I think she believes that God is with her, and that is giving her peace that sort of goes beyond what she could have imagined … [She is still in] excruciating pain … It’s this strange both/and situation, which is what I love. We’re telling a story of finding peace and hope in the midst of pain and tragedy.”

Maybe April will be in a better place, and a place where she wants to try again, at some point near the end of this season. Will she ever be the same? Probably not, and that is something that she will just have to prepare for. Luckily for her, she has enough close friends around her to help her through the entire process.
