ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: Could Mellie’s sister change everything?

What happens when family gets in the way of a good campaign? This is actually not a question that “Scandal” has really been forced to answer very much throughout its run on TV. Most of the time that we’ve seen these characters, they have been fairly independent of other people in their lives, messing around in their business.

With that being said, this could change at some point in the near future. The upcoming March 19 episode entitled “It’s Good to Be Kink” is going to revolve at least in part on Mellie’s sister, and what happens when she starts to enter the fray and cause problems both for her and also Elizabeth. “Olivia springs into action when she hears of a woman intending to expose sex secrets of some of DC’s most elite. Meanwhile, Elizabeth fears that Mellie’s sister could be detrimental to their political aspirations.”

The Mellie storyline is to us the most interesting at the moment, if for no other reason than that they other facet of this episode is something that we’ve currently seen a million or so times over. There are only so many times that we can get excited about a crisis for Olivia Pope that somehow involves her trying to take down bad people within Washington DC.

Then again, maybe some of you out there are ready to see something a little more procedural?
