There are still a number of loose ends from the “Pretty Little Liars” season 2 finale to be wrapped up, but one of the major ones has to do with the identity of a certain someone who was seen on some of “A’s” sketches — the Black Swan.
So who is behind the mask here? For now, no one knows, but showrunner Marlene King confirmed on Twitter this weekend that we will learn the truth about this person at some point moving forward. Is it going to be during season 3? It’s currently unclear, but this does not appear to be the same sort of mystery that the show would draw out to the same extent that they dragged out the reveal that Mona is “A.”
As for what we do know, the June 5 premiere will focus on the Liars several months after the events of the finale, and it will mark the two-year anniversary of Alison’s death with the killer still possibly at large. As for Mona, she is going to still be locked up at Radley until she is eventually released — and believe it or not, it is possible that she could end up going back to high school and facing off against the same people that she once attempted to destroy. (If there was ever a reason to play hooky…)
Check back often — we’re going to have as much in the way of scoop and plot details as we can find about what has become the signature show of ABC Family.
