‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: Further news on Blair Underwood appearance

As you may have heard already, Blair Underwood is going to be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” and it specifically seems like his role as Melinda May’s ex could have some interesting implications for the rest of the team. He is fiercely intelligent and stuffed full of charisma, and when you have these sort of attributes, you can often either be intimidating, or not a particularly easy person to read.

You are going to see Underwood for the first time during “One of Us,” the third episode of 2015 airing on Tuesday, March 17. As you would expect, there is going to be a whole lot more going on here beyond just the character turning up. Take a look at the synopsis below to see better how Coulson is in big trouble:

“Cal seeks revenge on Coulson by assembling a team of Super Villains to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, May calls on renowned Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood), her charismatic ex-husband, with a crisis that threatens to tear the team apart.”

What is fairly interesting is that while Skye is surely going to have a major role in this episode, Chloe Bennett’s character is not mentioned here. We would assume that one of the primary reasons for this is simply a matter of the show wanting to preserve as long as they can the mystery regarding what is happening to her next. The whole Daisy Johnson / Inhumans reveal is one of the biggest teases the show has going for itself at the moment.
