‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 16 preview: Can Sheldon, Penny fall in ‘love’?

That title above is not a mistake. For all of you Sheldon / Penny ‘shippers out there (we know that there are many), Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” will probably be a whole lot of fun. However, we wouldn’t get your hopes up that anything in this episode is actually going to stick.

The premise for this episode is simple enough: As a means to determine whether or not two people can actually fall in love over the course of several hours, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s characters will embark on a series of different experiments. These will help to determine if there is anything scientific to gather from spending so much time together. Based on the sneak peeks below, we cannot say that we are completely of the belief that this is going to work. As a matter of fact, Sheldon and Amy are probably going to come close to killing each other by the end of this.

There is no question from our vantage point as to what is the best part of these videos. It is easily Sheldon, upon being asked what his dream day would be, describing what seems to be a sci-fi epic that he created in his head. Of course, he is the hero … and we don’t want to ruin the fun by saying too much more.

Also in this episode, you will see Howard and Bernadette coming home following his mother’s funeral. There is no indication that the service for Debbie is actually going to be shown.
