‘The Amazing Race 26’ video: Preview a muddy challenge from premiere!

Wednesday night is going to be a pretty epic three hours of TV, at least provided that you are a huge fan of CBS reality competitions. Now only are you going to have the premiere of “Survivor: Worlds Apart” at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, but after that, you’ll get a chance to also check out the 90-minute premiere of “The Amazing Race 26” at 9:30.

We’ve already made it no secret that we are not huge fans of the Blind Date twist, mostly because having a variety of teams who already know each other tends to add to the fun of the show. This is the most radical change that they’ve ever done; even the Family Edition you had people who knew each other well. (Granted, only five of the teams this season are people coming into this for the twist.) This will be the last time we complain about it at least until actually watching the show. After all, you never know! This twist could end up being a million times better than we imagine from the outside looking in. It will definitely create drama, even if we’re not optimistic about this as a venue for true love.

In the preview below, you can get a sense of one of the very first challenges this season: A muddy obstacle course that actually feels a lot like a “Big Brother” Power of Veto Competition. Therefore, it’s only appropriate that you are bringing in Jeff & Jordan to take you on a test run through it. Sure, they weren’t actually great racers when they were on, but they’re good sports about this, and Jeff wanted a little redemption. (Granted, he was competing here against kids and other random people!)
