‘Girls’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Ray’s campaign, Zachary Quinto, and more

“Girls” made a bold move tonight, mostly in how they decided to air directly against the Academy Awards on ABC. That’s steep competition, no? Well, HBO probably figures that they have enough viewers with DVRs that they really don’t care too much whether you watch something live.

Next week, the show will be back for another new episode that will at least hint that some characters such as Hannah could move forward with their lives. Will they? That remains to be seen. Gillian Jacobs is going to return for more as Mimi-Rose Howard, while you are also going to get a chance to see Zachary Quinto! He has been everywhere these days in a variety of different genres.

Take a look at the full synopsis below, where you can get some other news as to what to expect:

“Hannah (Lena Dunham) goes for drinks with Fran (Jake Lacy), a new coworker, before attending an unusual art show. Later, she spends time alone with Mimi-Rose (Gillian Jacobs), while Adam (Adam Driver) is unnerved by Ace (Zachary Quinto), Mimi-Rose’s friend. Meanwhile, Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) helps Ray (Alex Karpovsky) with his community board election campaign.”

This episode certainly sounds interesting, so what we are going to have to wait and see about is if it manages to deliver the perfect mix of character development and comedy. This is what “Girls” struggles with during some of its weaker installments.
