‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 12 preview: Megan Boone, James Spader, and a secret safe

The Blacklist logo any seasonAfter having such an episode Super Bowl two-parter, “The Blacklist” seems to be settling into what is a little bit more of a rhythm going into what is now going into the end of the February sweeps. The run of new episodes continues next week with “The Kenyon Family,” which is a story that is very much in the classic mold. He is going to be someone very menacing and different from anyone Liz and Red have faced so far.

As with most classic episodes, there’s also going to be a more serialized component to go along with it. We are going to see James Spader’s character specifically try to tie together some loose ends from the death of Fitch, which was the big shocker during the fall finale for the series.

Just in case you have not seen it just yet, take a look at the official synopsis below:

“When Red (James Spader) tips Liz (Megan Boone) off on the disappearance of Justin Kenyon (Stephen Bogardus), a polygamous cult leader with dangerous shipping containers buried on his property, the task force sets out to investigate. Meanwhile Red utilizes his sources to appease Fitch’s last words and travels to track down his hidden safe.”

Ultimately, we just hope that next week is going to get Liz and Red working back together again in some capacity. Tonight’s installment suffered from a case of boredom, and we hope that changes moving forward.
