‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Is Kelsey Poe really most ‘deceptive ever’? (video)
Go home, “The Bachelor” marketing department: You are clearly drunk.
In the preview video below for Monday night’s new episode, the show really tries to bill Kelsey as the “most deceptive” person in the history of the show. Is it possibly that she exaggerated her panic attack? Sure, but we cannot really sit here and say a single thing that she’s done outside of that has been so terrible that it out ranks some of the past contestants. Sure, she complained about the date on the lake, but getting alone time with Chris Soules right before the rose ceremony? Sure, there is a strategic component to that, but this is a game. Her doing that is not any different than someone doing something a little more cheeky or lighthearted with Chris at a cocktail party.
While Kelsey may not be a fan favorite or a personal favorite, we feel like we can name many contestants just from the past few seasons who were causing way more problems and also raising more eyebrows: Take a look at Rozlyn, Courtney, or Tierra. Even contestants like Michelle, Vienna, and AshLee were extremely aggressive in their own way, even if they did not do anything as controversial as what Kelsey did. We could list way more names on “The Bachelorette” in here as well; of course, to us Bentley will almost always be #1.
With all of this being said, this does not make the two-on-one date with Kelsey and Ashley Iaconetti any less dramatic. Ashley is seemingly delusional in her own way about thinking that she is the crusader of good on this date. We feel like both of these women lack the self-awareness of knowing how they could be perceived, even if they have very little else in common.
