‘Elementary’ season 3 spoilers: News on Lucy Liu-directed episode

ElementaryLucy Liu is almost a jack-of-all-trades on “Elementary,” or at least she will be when she starts hanging lights and writing episodes. For now, though, we can at least give you some details on the next episode that the series star is directing.

This episode airs a week from Thursday on February 12, with Gina Gershon taking on the Elana Marsh character. Things are obviously going to be very different now for Holmes and Watson, given that Kitty is now gone, and they may have to figure out what the parameters for their partnership are going to be. For the time being, we can at least say that this particular installment is entitled “The Female of the Species,” and Jonny Lee Miller’s character may look to someone else for support in Detective Bell. Take a look at the synopsis below for a few other assorted details in terms of what you can expect to see:

“An unexpected event brings Watson into contact again with Elana March, the crime boss she brought to justice. Also, with Watson distracted, Holmes enlists Detective Bell to join him in a temporary partnership to solve a theft at a local zoo.”

This at least sounds rather interesting to us, but it does not seem to answer any substantial question when it comes to Holmes and Watson’s present state. This may ultimately be one of those issues that takes a little bit more time to sort out … even if there are only so many more episodes left in this season due to it starting up so late.
