‘House of Lies’ season 4, episode 4 video: Marty consoles Ellis Hightower

House of Lies -Marty Kaan on “House of Lies” is a man of a variety of different skills,  but the majority of them traditionally do not revolve around having to baby someone in the workplace.

Unfortunately for him, that is precisely what he finds himself doing on the new episode of the show airing on Sunday night. He is going to be stuck dealing once again with Ellis Hightower, the tech mogul and a friend of his from when he was in prison. The sneak peek below features an elaborate meltdown he suffers in a stairwell, and Marty is completely at a loss for how to properly deal with him.

What do we personally expect? That eventually, Don Cheadle’s character typically finds a way to figure this out, but not on his own. Somehow, Jeannie, Clyde, or someone else will probably get involved here … but probably not Doug. We see zero reason at the moment to have any faith in him whatsoever, given what he is currently going through wish Sarah. Even before that, the man is relatively useless.

Even though Super Bowl XLIX is airing Sunday night, Showtime is still putting this episode on the air. Why do that? It really just comes down to an interest by them in making sure that there is a robust lineup available, that there is counter-programming to the big game, and also to the fact that the majority of subscribers also have some way to watch after the fact. Since they are subscriber-based, there is no real reason to be overly concerned with ratings as they come in live.
