‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Heading Towards Disaster’

We really should start this “Chicago Fire” article by saying this: Anytime that you have an episode that is titled “Heading Towards Disaster,” there is probably a reason to worry. Even though these are all characters who should really be accustomed to dealing with such things on a regular basis, that doesn’t mean that the major issues are muted by any stretch of the imagination.

This title is for the upcoming 15th episode of the season airing in a matter of weeks; while we imagine some more extensive news on this particular story being made available soon, for the time being you can at least check out a short synopsis courtesy of SpoilerTV:

“A temporary chief fills in for Boden, who is forced to take some time off for personal reasons.”

Does this sound exciting? We certainly think troubling is more of the word that we would use. Our fear obviously is that this means that something bad may have happened to Boden’s father, who was recently only given a few months to live. Anytime that someone stays away from work for “personal reasons,” though, is enough for us to worry. After all, this suggests that there is a clear problem that really does need to be dealt with.

This season has already seen its fair share of hard times, starting with Shay’s death at the very beginning. For Boden, he has really just moved from one stressful situation to the next, given that prior to this current incident, their were concerns about his child.
