‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 12 video: Is Tyler going to lose Liv?

“Prayer for the Dying” is the title for Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” and just from a superficial standpoint, it feels pretty clear that this is a reference to Sheriff Liz Forbes and her current state. It is not often that an episode of the show starts off with a fate that feels so hopeless, especially when it comes to something that is not even remotely supernatural-based.

While you are understandably hoping for answers when it comes to this particular story, you will most likely have to wait until this episode airs for more on that subject. Instead, what we have for you now is a sneak peek that focuses on a different subject: The Gemini Coven, Liv, Luke, and Tyler’s attempts to help getting seemingly turned away. We understand what he is doing here; he cares about her, and given everything that he has seen over the course of his life, of course he wants to protect her.

The biggest that we are concerned about right now is simply the fact that Liv says to Tyler “you’re not going to lose me.” Such comments are, at least more often than not, the kiss of death on these sort of shows.

We would be worried right now if you are a fan of Tyler and Liv, and for a number of different reasons. Admittedly, we’ve never been the biggest fan of this storyline, but at the same time, shouldn’t at least one person or two have a chance to actually be happy on this show for a while? Is that impossible?
