NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Adam Levine to perform during 2015 Oscars

The Oscars just got another dose of star power, and the latest news we have for you today just adds to the excitement.

Sources confirm that Adam Levine of Maroon 5 (or “The Voice,” if you know him for that) is going to be a performer during the show of “Lost Stars.” This song is from the movie “Begin Again,” so there is some sort of specific purpose for him to be there beyond just being another star appearing on the red carpet. Of course, there will be a variety of other people who are going to be on the show, but some of those names will be announced a little later. After all, there are many super-entertaining things still to come, and we are also still almost a month away.

We feel like most of the pressure for the show will be on Adam Levine much more than it will be any particular musical performer. After all, the press is sometimes ready and willing to rip the Oscar host a new one, since this is one of the hardest shows to do. It is always extremely long and bloated, sometimes self-congratulatory, and there is a fine line between being too extreme and being boring. Everyone has to feel like a star, but you don’t want to kiss up to anyone throughout the night, either.

We’re sure that there will be some further announcements when we get a little closer to this big show airing, so stay tuned! We’ll have even more announcements as they start to become available.
