‘Scorpion’ season 1, episode 16 review: Are Paige, Walter going on a Valentine’s day date?

On the last episode of “Scorpion” we saw not only Paige struggling with the choice to move Ralph to Portland with Drew, but also the realization that she may have some deeper feelings for Walter then she originally thought.

It’s Valentine’s week (yup it’s a whole week of love) and so we are expecting some movement on some of our blossoming romances. Walter is taking Paige to a romantic restaurant on Valentine’s day for a “business meeting” and it comes up at the same time that Drew has signed a month long contract in Portland. Although Walter denies that this is a romantic date, we know that he has deeper feelings for her… also he’s picked a restaurant that Paige suggested. After running into his ex-girlfriend, Walter realizes that he needs to be sure before he gets involved with Paige and possibly hurts her and so cancels the dinner.

With the case of the week sending Paige out to sea, Toby picks Ralph up from school when the nurse calls in saying he’s sick, but really he faked an illness when a girl gives him a valentine card… because the girl he likes gave a valentine to another boy before him.

Happy and Toby end up having an impromptu conversation about their own relationship with Happy saying that she values Toby’s friendship too much to jeopardize it right now, of course he wants a timeline of when it will be okay to have a relationship, but she’s not willing to give him one – that is is until they help Ralph get his valentine crush to notice him and then she holds his hand. He tries to kiss her but that’s a no go.

Last but not least, Sylvester is writing a Valentine’s day card for someone… but who? We have been shipping Sylvester with Walter’s sister for weeks now, so we immediately are hoping that she is the object of his affection. And it is! Sylvester’s valentine is Megan, but he hasn’t told Walter yet… will he be okay with this?

There was a lot of romantic feelings flying around in tonight’s episode of “Scorpion” and we couldn’t have been happier with all of it. Even Ralph had a little romance! Easily one of our favorite episodes so far. Episode grade: A-
