Is ‘Madam Secretary’ episode 14 new tonight? More titles for Tea Leoni, cast

Let us start this “Madam Secretary” article with both an answer to the primary question and a reminder: There is no new episode of the series airing on CBS tonight. Instead, the network is running in that 8:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot “Undercover Boss,” followed by a pair of new episodes of “CSI” as the network looks to make room for “Battle Creek” when it premieres in March.

So why not air a new episode tonight when there is not too much competition? The SAG Awards are hardly a huge draw in the ratings, and the same goes for the Pro Bowl. The reason we feel is that the network doesn’t want to throw an episode of the Tea Leoni series on an island, since in the end, that only confuses viewers so much more. They would rather stick an episode on the air either directly before or after another. That is why the show will return on Sunday, March 1, and we can confirm that there are three episodes airing in succession in this month.

We still want to give you at least something new in this article, so let’s talk episode titles for a moment! You may have already known that 1×14 is entitled “Whisper of the Ax,” since we’ve been using it here at CarterMatt for a while in order to promote it. So why not discuss the next two episodes now? We’ve got the titles below along with their respective air date.

1×15, “The Ninth Circle” (March 8) – We are assuming that this is a reference to the final circle in Dante’s Inferno, which is also the circle of treachery. Satan lies at the very center.

1×16, “Tamerlane” (March 15) – This could be a reference either to a famed conqueror, or a work by Edgar Allan Poe about this same figure.
