‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: First look at big Jennifer Love Hewitt story

Criminal Minds -One of the smart things that “Criminal Minds” has done going into season 10 is tried to balance out the big Kate Callahan stories as much as they possibly can. Anytime that you introduce a new character to a story so deep into its run, there are suspicions about them tipping over the metaphorical apple cart of chemistry.

While there were some early struggles here and there, Kate has felt like a worthy inclusion to the show at this point, and the show is not pushing her any more than other characters in the cast. We’ve seen a big character story recently all about JJ, and tomorrow night there will be one that focuses very much on Rossi. So when is the next big story for Jennifer Love Hewitt going to air? Think of Wednesday, February 11. This particular installment is entitled “Scream,” but the synopsis below does not suggest anything related to a mask:

“Victims in California have the BAU searching for an UnSub who may have witnessed abuse as a child. Meanwhile, Kate shows parental concern when her niece, Meg, makes a date with a friend to meet a boy they met online.”

For those curious, this is an episode featuring Greg Grunberg (“Heroes”) as Kate’s husband Chris. It is somewhat interesting the “NCIS” connection here. That show introduced a new character in Bishop last year, and earlier this season, we met her husband Jake (Jamie Bamber) for the first time. For the most part, though, we would say that Kate has been a little more universally well-received than Bishop.
