ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: How long will the search for Olivia last?

Is Olivia Pope going to be rescued soon on “Scandal“? Sadly, we cannot offer up any sort of definitive answer when it comes to that, other than to say that she is at least going to be missing for two episodes, starting with the winter premiere on January 29.

What we have for you now are the first details on the upcoming February 5 episode entitled “Where’s the Black Lady?,” which is certainly an odd name given that we cannot imagine a single character on this show having this phrase come out of their mouth. The synopsis below is extremely short, but it probably does at least tell you exactly what you need to know about where Kerry Washington’s character could be:

“With Olivia still missing, the team comes together to do whatever it takes to find her and get her home safely.”

We imagine that for the most part, the main point of contention could come here between Fitz and Jake, given that they both have very strong opinions when it comes to Olivia, and are going to have specific ideas as to how this situation should be handled. Whether or not either one of them prevail is to be seen, but to be honest we hope that sooner or later, these parties manage to figure it out. This show has more to offer than just being a love-triangle drama, and we would like to get to the point where the focus can be more about the job, and less about the who you are sleeping with after the job.
