‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 8 preview: What will Jane do to protect Lisbon?

We have learned many things about Patrick Jane on “The Mentalist” over the past several years, but one of his principal qualities is that if you find yourself in his inner circle, the man will do everything in his power in order to protect you.

Going into next week’s new episode entitled “The Whites of His Eyes,” we are specifically going to see that when it comes to Jane’s love Teresa Lisbon, and what happens when she finds herself in danger over just what she is trying to do in order to protect a witness. Take a look at the short synopsis below:

“Jane worries for Lisbon’s safety when the team puts itself in the line of fire to protect the witness in a murder investigation from a skilled assassin.”

The biggest thing about this episode to us comes courtesy of the not-so-subtle reminder in here that there are only six episodes left in the series. If that doesn’t make you a little emotional as a longtime fan, what will? This is a reminder that we have seen these characters go on quite a journey so far, but that journey is still far from over.

As we get closer to the end, we do hope that there are some more long-term stories that we can spotlight and highlight here to a certain extent. Just be on the lookout for them here, since we will have all sorts of updates moving forward.
