‘The Mentalist’ season 7 video: Simon Baker, Robin Tunney talk memorable guest stars

With the series finale of “The Mentalist” only a mere matter of weeks away, isn’t now the time to be a little bit reflective? We like to think so.

With this in mind, the newest video below released by CBS features many of the show’s cast members, including Simon Baker, Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, and more, going through the list of notable guest stars and pointing out some of their favorites. Our favorite response here has to come from Tunney, who claims that it was quite the thrill for her to be working alongside both Simon and “Game of Thrones” star Pedro Pascal, and having both men fighting over her in some form. We always love our comments with a big side of cleverness!

There are some significant guest stars ahead, and two of them in Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman are especially memorable, given that they were former cast members who departed the series last year. The producers went into the season with the mindset that this would probably be the end of the road for the show, so of course they wanted to create as special of an environment for the cast and the fans as possible.

We still have a few more weeks to go until we get to that point, but we do hope before that time that we have a little more when it comes to the cast looking back at what made this show in particular so special. It’s had quite the run.
