‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: A death, and a major Paul Wesley – Candice Accola story
There is certainly quite a few developments coming up on “The Vampire Diaries” season 6, but we know that there is one relationship that has been almost front and center for many fans for a while: Stefan and Caroline. Paul Wesley and Candice Accola’s characters have been building a strong friendship for quite a long time, but we figured that sooner or later, things would start to overflow a little bit.
Well, that time could come at some point in the second half of the season. While there is no guarantee at the moment that the two parties will be getting together, executive producer Caroline Dries hints that the sad situation regarding her mother’s cancer could end up being a turning point for the two. Just look at her attached comment via TVLine: “What we’ll come to see is that their relationship will be shaped by [her mom’s illness].”
Caroline is going to spend at least some time desperately looking for a way to cure her mother, but this is not going to be easy for her. There is something even sadder about someone going out on this show under human circumstances, especially when the vast majority of deaths on the series these days are mostly supernatural.
Speaking of deaths, the report also states that at least one major character will still die this season. Maybe it is Sheriff Forbes, or maybe you need to start worrying about the fate of someone else.
“The Vampire Diaries” returns on Thursday, January 22 to The CW, and we’ll have some further news soon.

Stefan and Caroline should just stay friends because Stefan will never be able to give Caroline 100% of himself because he still have deep feelings for Elena.I feel if they put Stefan and Caroline in an intimate relationship it will also destroy their friendship.if was Caroline I wouldn’t want to get involved with someone who I thought had an epic love with someone else ,that would make me wonder what kind of love we would have. what can top an epic love. …. what I’m freaking out on this enzo character he is Damon’s friend should’t he be helping his friend Damon instead of stalking Stefan like a gay predator. it is so pathetic how he followed Stefan around……

I disagree…I think Stefan has moved on with regards to his feelings for Elena. He see’s how happy Elena / Damon are together and he has been very supportive. Lexi once told Stefan that Elena will always be his epic love but as an immortal you can have more than 1. Caroline could very well be epic love #2 for Stefan but #1 for Caroline. I am willing to be open minded and see what the writers have in store for these 2 characters.
Enzo & Stefan – It could be interesting watching Enzo uncover / expose a few of Stefan’s secrets. Stefan’s past has had a few plot holes (for example when Damon was captured by Augustine – Stefan was also in town but their paths never crossed?). It would be interesting character development to see Stefan on the hot seat for a change.

I think Stefan / Caroline will be great together. It would probably the healthiest relationship Stefan has ever been in. They need to happen 2nd half of S6.
