‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ debate: Which tribe are you the most excited for?

Survivor -Even though the premiere of “Survivor: Worlds Apart” on February 25 may still be a long period of time away, we don’t feel like it is so long that is worth shelving for the next couple of months.

At the moment, what we know right now about the season is limited beyond the premise, which we feel is a great one: Three tribes, each one divided up based on some sort of class system. You have white collar, blue collar, and as Jeff Probst calls it, “no collar” people all competing for the million-dollar prize in the end.

So who has the advantage going into the game? Let’s try to size this up quickly.

Blue Collar – Great ability to work hard, compete, and get the job done. They seemingly could have an advantage around camp, and in challenges that require determination and physical strength. However, many of their jobs may be very repetitive, so the easy stereotype is to say that they will not be the most strategic of the tribes that are out there.

White Collar – They are sharp, intelligent, and probably have been thinking about playing this game from their couch. They will probably be strategic, but could suffer from arrogance. Also, they may have a harder time dealing with the elements, or hanging in there in some of the competitive challenges. If one of them makes it to the end, we see them being very competitive in arguing their case for a million bucks.

No Collar – They could play with a chip on their shoulder, which makes them interesting underdogs. They may be sneaky with their strategy and with their ability to compete in challenges. Also, some of them may be free spirits, and a little more used to living off the land or in an unusual environment. They may be a little too carefree at times for the game, though, and may not be the hardest workers around camp.

Superficially, we would say that for now, a white-collar person has the best chance of winning. However, a no-collar person probably has the best chance of making it there, since they will appear the most non-threatening.
